Should I Learn American English Or British English?

American and British English are both variants of World English. As such, they are more similar than different, especially with “educated” or “scientific” English. Most divergence can be ascribed to differing national histories and cultural development and the way in which the two national variants have changed correspondingly.

College Grants For African American Single Mothers

African-Americans are the most disadvantaged amongst the various clans and have suffered throughout the history of civilizations and still suffer being referred to as the minority group even though they are amongst the largest in population. The situation for the mothers is extremely delicate and requires due attention and great care to make them emerge as successful women. For this cause have thus been started college grants for African American single mothers.

Amongst the different agencies contributing towards the welfare of the African American single mothers, the name of United Negros College Fund or UNCF precedes every other organization. This is the largest yet oldest organization started for this noble cause and provides varied number of scholarships and grants for African-American single mothers. The next important name in this list would be the Sister Thea Bowman Foundation for African American single mothers, which provides four scholarships every year for African-American single mothers to study at the College of St. Mary in Omaha, Nebraska. The foundation guarantees to pay $30,000 over the four-year period to the college of St. Mary and in turn this college donates an additional amount of $24,000 for these mothers.
